Gemcraft Homes Donates $25,000 to The Hearing and Speech Agency
Forest Hill, MD…Gemcraft Homes donated $25,000 to The Hearing and Speech Agency (HASA), and will serve as Title Sponsor of the Agency’s first annual fundraiser, Vibe ’06, at the National Aquarium in Baltimore. On Thursday, May 4, 2006, 7:00 to 11:00 p.m., guests will be able to stroll through the new Animal Planet Australia Wild Extremes exhibit while enjoying cocktails, Australian lite fare, a live auction, and entertainment. A brief recognition ceremony will be held to honor HASA’s 2006 Communicator of the Year, Ann Bosworth, founder of HASA’s oral center. Bob Turk, Weathercaster for WJZ-TV, who has had a life-changing cochlear implant, will be the Master of Ceremonies.
HASA leads the way as a direct service provider, information resource center, and advocate for people of all ages and incomes who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have speech and language disabilities. Bill Luther, Gemcraft Homes’ President and CEO, said, “All proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the programs and services of the Agency, a private, nonprofit organization located in Baltimore City. We’re delighted to add it to the list of nonprofits that Gemcraft supports. We select organizations that make a difference in the communities where our employees live and work.”
